Derek Laney

Derek Laney is an experienced technology evangelist currently serving as a Resident Evangelist at the Salesforce Innovation Centre since July 2023, where the focus is on educating customers about technology trends and industry case studies. In addition to this role at Salesforce, Derek has been a Technology Evangelist at Slack since April 2022, assisting customers in navigating the future of work. Derek's extensive background at Salesforce includes over 14 years in various positions, including Senior Director of Product Marketing and leading product marketing initiatives for Radian6 and ExactTarget. Prior to Salesforce, Derek held roles at StayinFront and Perenso, gaining expertise in CRM implementations and business intelligence. Derek's educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Systems and Marketing from the University of Wollongong.
