Michael Smart is a seasoned product management executive with extensive experience in building and optimizing product management organizations across various software companies. As the Founder and Managing Principal of Egress Solutions, Inc. since 2009, Michael has focused on enabling best practices for private equity and venture firms to enhance product management effectiveness. Currently serving as an advisor for Salestable, a sales readiness platform, and previously mentoring startups at Bishop Ranch Intelligence Innovation Accelerator, Michael has a proven track record in strategic leadership and market validation. With prior roles including Principal Consultant at Pragmatic Marketing Inc. and senior leadership positions at GRIC, TCSI, and Tandem Computers, Michael possesses a diverse background in product management, engineering, and business development. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from San Diego State University and an MBA from Saint Mary's College of California.
