ROLE OVERVIEW

The Social Analyst is a data-driven, insights-led media strategist and platform expert with hands-on analytics reporting experience. You should be a natural collaborator, with strong presentation, organizational and strategic thinking skills.  You have a strong comprehension of the digital media landscape and a proactive nature, combined with high attention to detail.  You value curiosity and are on top of current and emerging trends in the world of digital media.

The Social Analyst will work directly with the Sr. Performance Analyst and serve as a primary, daily point of contact pertaining to performance metrics, including but not limited to organic & paid social, social listening, SEO, Video and Content. 

You will need to be highly proficient in spotting patterns in data and transforming them into actionable insights. This includes understanding various brand goals and a solid understanding of analytics tools for measurement.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • REPORTING:
    • Build dashboards and analyze data related to content pillars, social conversations, trends, audience insights, brand KPIs
    • Provide timely (monthly, quarterly, annual) and accurate reporting, analysis, and key insights of social media reports for a variety of brands and campaigns across all key channels
    • Provide one-on-one team support to individuals for our social media tools and provide ad-hoc support to the team when needed
  • SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERTISE:
    • Trends – Stay up to date on the latest social and digital media trends, best practices, and technologies and how they relate to reporting
  • SOCIAL PLANNING:
    • Work with strategy team to set benchmarks, KPIs and goals for briefs and campaigns
    • Engage in key industry conversations on social channels and be a thought-leader, ready to start new conversations that will drive brand performance on social
  • SOCIAL PLAYBOOK SUPPORT:
    • Work with strategy team to ensure brand playbooks reflect up to date brand and channel goals

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 2+ years relevant experience in agency performance analytics, digital strategy or SMM role
  • Proven ability writing in-depth, actionable insights based on data, translating insights into actionable recommendations for brands, creative and strategy teams
  • Experience reporting on following channels Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Twitter
  • Familiarity with reporting tools (i.e. Khoros, Talkwalker, etc.)
  • CPG experience desired but not required
  • Preferred hands-on experience in Google Analytics, Search Console, paid social business manager accounts & Google Ad accounts
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Preferred exposure to all facets of the digital marketing space: CRM, SEO, SEM, programmatic, social, mobile, video
  • Demonstrated creative and innovative thinker, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive projects through to completion
