Rachel Birks

Rachel Birks is the Senior Director of People Operations at SambaNova. Rachel has over five years of experience in human resources and has been instrumental in scaling various companies from 27 to 250+ employees worldwide. Birks was the Director of People Operations at Sauce Labs from June 2014 to February 2019 where they oversaw budgets for HR/Recruiting and Facilities worldwide, managed and trained the 5 person People Ops team, and completed a full move and upgrade of the SF office in March 2018. Rachel also was the project lead to roll 160 employees off of PEO (TriNet) to bring payroll and benefits in-house. Prior to their time at Sauce Labs, Birks worked at various startups where they implemented and administered 401k programs, created recruitment processes end to end, instituted company wide internship programs, and managed implementation of new payroll systems and benefits programs.

Rachel Birks has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master of Arts in Business Management Economics from the University of Warwick.
