Cormac Barry

Cormac Barry has extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries, currently serving as Chair of the Board for both Classic Football Company Ltd. and Sambla since March and April 2024, respectively. Previously, Cormac held the position of CEO at CarTrawler from April 2018 to October 2022, where a new strategy and culture were developed, leading to a return to profitability post-Covid-19. Cormac also served as Non-Executive Director at Dubray Books from April 2012 to February 2020, providing strategic oversight that facilitated the successful sale of the business. Notably, as CEO of Sportsbet from August 2009 to March 2018, Cormac transformed the company into a leading online betting platform in Australia, further contributing as Chairman of the Australian Wagering Council to promote responsible gambling practices. Prior experience includes significant roles at Paddy Power, where Cormac was Head of Online and played a crucial role in its growth, and a position as Sales Operations Manager at Iona Technologies. Cormac Barry holds a BA in Economics and Politics from Trinity College Dublin.
