Carolyn Patterson-Kemper

Carolyn Patterson-Kemper, M.S., CMP, DES, is an experienced professional in event management and communication, currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor in the Master's Program for Hospitality and Tourism at San Diego State University. Previously, Carolyn held the position of Vice President and Head of Events at Chevy Chase Trust, where responsibilities included planning and executing a variety of onsite and digital events while managing contracts and budgets. Carolyn's career also includes a role as a Communications Consultant at T. Rowe Price, focusing on internal messaging and strategic communications. At the American Psychological Association, Carolyn significantly increased sales revenue for the Spire Conference Center, streamlined catering partnerships, and managed high-profile events, demonstrating strong marketing and organizational skills. Earlier experience includes meeting planning at AICC and owning an event management company that served diverse community needs. Carolyn holds a Master of Science in Meeting & Event Management from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland.
