Soko Made

Soko Made is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and waste reduction. Serving as the City Government Zero Waste Senior Coordinator at the San Francisco Environment Department since August 2010, Soko Made leads initiatives aimed at achieving zero waste through the development and implementation of waste prevention, recycling, and composting programs. Previous roles at the same department include Zero Waste Specialist and Assistant Coordinator, focusing on compliance with environmental ordinances and outreach strategies. Additional experience includes consulting as a Waste Reduction Consultant at iReuse and internships at the Department of the Interior and Center for Biological Diversity. Soko Made holds a Master's degree in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Saint Louis University.
