Lizzi Ackerman

Lizzi Ackerman LaCasse has extensive experience in both the food and healthcare industries. Currently serving as a Board Member at Serenity Kids since October 2020, Lizzi previously co-founded Birch Benders in July 2011, where the role of Chief Marketing Officer was held until November 2020, focusing on enhancing the appeal of pancakes and waffles. Additional healthcare experience includes positions as a Medical Assistant at Rocky Mountain Dermatology and a Medical Intern at Hospital de Clínicas “José de San Martín,” where Lizzi received the Leitner Project Award for examining Argentina's medical system. Early career involvement includes a Research Assistant role at Yale New Haven Hospital, assisting in a study on ultrasound efficacy, and a Research Intern position at Applied Research and Consulting, LLC. Lizzi is a graduate of Yale University with a B.A. in History of Science and History of Medicine, graduating with honors, and furthered education at Columbia University.
