Vikas Sewani is currently a Quantum Sensing Postdoc at SandboxAQ since February 2023. Previously, Vikas held the position of Quantum Engineer at Quantum Brilliance from July 2021 to June 2022 and worked as a Researcher at NSW Defence Innovation Network from March 2021 to June 2021, focusing on hardware development for secure quantum communications. Vikas completed a PhD in Quantum Devices at UNSW, where the research involved experimental quantum physics on controlling optically-active defects, under the supervision of Dr. Arne Laucht. Vikas also served as a Lab Demonstrator at UNSW, designing labs for courses related to quantum engineering and devices. Earlier experience includes working as an Electronics Engineer at Bionic Vision Australia, where responsibilities included electrical testing of a 99-electrode Bionic Eye prototype. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy from UNSW and a bachelor's degree from the same institution, after attending Taipei American School.
