Demian Kalebic

Demian Kalebic is a scientist currently involved in the early-stage development of biosimilars at Sandoz since July 2024. Prior to this role, Demian Kalebic was a PhD Fellow at KU Leuven from January 2019 to October 2023, where research focused on the synthesis and structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies of isothiazolo-pyridines, the development of sustainable technologies for waste treatment, and the synthesis of bioactive compounds. Additional experience includes working as an Academic Partner at Johnson & Johnson, where a strategy was devised to enhance the environmental sustainability of cell therapy agents, and internships at Teva Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and KU Leuven, focusing on pharmaceutical synthesis and characterization. Demian Kalebic holds a Doctor of Science in Chemistry from KU Leuven, a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Zagreb, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the same institution.
