Cristiana Dondi

Cristiana Dondi, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at Sandford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where research focuses on the connections between age-related heart dysfunction and metabolic syndrome using a Drosophila cardiac model. Prior experience includes a PhD at GReD Laboratory concentrating on the diversification of muscle and heart cells in developmental and pathological contexts. Additional internships involved characterizing target genes in multiple myeloma cells at Cochin Institute in Paris and validating ACTA1 gene variants linked to congenital myopathy at IRCCS Foundation Neurological Institute in Italy. Cristiana holds a Master's Degree in European Master of Genetics from Université Paris Cité and a Master's Degree in Biology, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
