Jenny Kearns

Jenny Kearns is an experienced professional in the nonprofit sector with a strong background in grantmaking, financial management, and operational leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Grantmaking at the Santa Barbara Foundation since April 2022, Kearns previously held the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation from February 2016 to April 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer and Director of the Sea Center at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History from April 2004 to January 2013, as well as Director of Development and Senior Mammalogist at the Aquarium of the Pacific from 1997 to 2004. Kearns holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Business Administration from California State University-Long Beach, and a Master of Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
