Deborah Lohse

Deborah Lohse is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and media relations. Since July 2008, Deborah has held various roles at Santa Clara University, currently serving as Director of Media and Internal Communications and previously as Director of Executive Communications in the Office of the President. Deborah excels in sharing the university's narrative by highlighting student projects and professor expertise. Prior to this, Deborah worked at the San Jose Mercury News from August 2000 to July 2008, where coverage included the dotcom boom and municipal government issues. Deborah also reported for the Wall Street Journal from 1993 to 2000, focusing on finance and investing topics, and contributed to Money Magazine from 1989 to 1993. Deborah holds a BA in English from New York University.
