Kris Mitchener serves as the Robert & Susan Finocchio Professor of Economics at Santa Clara University since 2014, contributing to the Department of Economics within the Leavey School of Business. With extensive experience in research and academic roles, Kris holds positions as a Research Associate and Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research since 2002, and as a Research Fellow at the CEPR - Centre for Economic Policy Research since 2014. Additional roles include research associations at CAGE since 2013 and a fellowship at Stanford University's Center for Advanced Studies in Behavioral Sciences for the 2021-2022 academic year. Kris has previously held editorial responsibilities at Elsevier and professorships at the University of Warwick and Santa Clara University. Education includes a Ph.D. and B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
