John Stover

John Stover is a tenured Sociology Instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College since August 2017, teaching courses in Intro to Sociology, Social Problems, and Race and Ethnic Relations. With experience spanning over 17 years in various institutions, Stover has held positions as a Professor of Sociology in the Bay Area, including at the University of San Francisco and San Mateo Community College District. Stover's academic journey includes a fellowship at Stanford University as an EPIC Fellow and previous roles as an Assistant Professor at the University of San Francisco. Stover earned a Ph.D. from Loyola University Chicago, focusing on the intersection of film and social activism, and has contributed significantly to general education and transitional studies as an Academic Director at The Art Institute of California San Francisco.
