Tayallen Velayatham

Tayallen Velayatham is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, currently employed at Santos Ltd since July 2019. Previous roles include serving as a PhD candidate at the University of Adelaide, where research focused on subsurface fluid flow phenomena in offshore Australian basins, and a quantitative interpretation geoscientist at PETRONAS from February 2008 to January 2016, specializing in seismic inversion and rock physics. Tayallen also held the position of operations geoscientist at PETRONAS, responsible for designing seismic acquisition surveys and managing geophysical acquisitions, with expertise in various seismic and electromagnetic methods. Tayallen holds a PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Adelaide and a BS in Geology and Geophysics from the same institution.
