Troy Herrera is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial control and joint venture management. Currently serving as Financial Controller at Santos Ltd since April 2020, Troy previously held various senior finance roles at BHP from August 2006 to April 2020, including Joint Venture Audit Manager for Petroleum, where oversight of $4.5 billion in annual spend was a key responsibility. Troy also excelled as Principal Finance Business Partner within Exploration, leading financial initiatives for significant projects and optimizing internal reporting. With a strong background in financial governance, cost reduction, and team leadership, Troy holds an FCCA from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and an MBA from McMaster University, specializing in Management and Innovation of New Technologies.
