Ellie Sander

Ellie Sander is a dedicated professional with diverse experience in housing development, food equity, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Housing Development Intern at Community Partners for Affordable Housing since May 2024, Ellie has also contributed to Santouka Ramen as Kitchen/Front of House Staff since June 2021. Previous roles include working as a Research Assistant in the Food Equity and Dignity Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, focusing on the Cooking For One Project, and interning in park planning with the Mt. Prospect Park District. Ellie has engaged in civic leadership through the HANA Center and has gained valuable experience in data analysis as a Research Intern at The Morton Arboretum. Ellie's academic background includes pursuing dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
