Johanna Kärki

Johanna K. is a research associate at Technische Universität München in the School of Lifesciences, focusing on rescue strategies for wildlife using remote sensing and geoinformation methods since January 2021. Johanna recently completed a visiting research associate position at the University of Zurich's Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute. Previous experience includes roles as an Earth Observation Analyst at EarthWave and a student assistant and intern at various institutions, including the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. and Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. Johanna holds an MSc in Earth Observation & Geoinformation Management from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from The University of Bonn. Extensive education also includes a study abroad experience at University College Cork and a program in Miami.
