Kurian Benoy

Kurian Benoy is a Machine Learning Engineer currently working at Sarvam AI since April 2024 and has been a volunteer at Swathanthra Malayalam Computing since June 2020. Previously, Kurian served as Team Lead for the Science and Research team at Sentient.io, where significant achievements included enhancing the subtitling solution accuracy for Mediacorp using Speech recognition and generative AI techniques. Kurian has also contributed as a Technical Speaker at various events, including PyCon India 2024 and FOSSASIA, focusing on OpenAI Whisper. With a solid educational background, including a Master of Technology in AI & Data Science from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam, Kurian's experience spans data science, sentiment analysis, and community leadership in AI initiatives.
