Jennifer L. Hyde

Jennifer L. Hyde is a seasoned professional in the fields of documentary and narrative film and television. Currently serving as a Professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design since September 2018, Jennifer mentors students and identifies promising documentaries for award submissions. Prior experience includes serving as Director of the Documentary Unit at CNN from 1998 to 2017, where responsibilities encompassed the production and operations of documentary programming aired in over 220 countries. Additionally, Jennifer held various roles at CNN, including Executive Producer and Senior Producer, overseeing numerous projects and editorial execution. Jennifer’s career in development began at Turner Broadcasting and NBC News, focusing on project management and development. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Speech Communication from the University of Richmond.
