James Allen

James Allen is an experienced professional in government affairs and sustainability, currently serving as the Director of Government Affairs & Sustainability at Savers | Value Village since January 2016. Prior to this role, James held significant positions at Puget Sound Energy from 2009 to December 2015, including Government Relations Manager - Public Policy and Senior Federal Government Relations Representative. James also served as the District Director for the U.S. House of Representatives from 2006 to 2009, and held the position of Assistant Attorney General for the Washington State Attorney General's Office, focusing on legal matters related to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and the State Parks and Recreation Commission from January 2005 to February 2006. James holds a JD from the University of Maine School of Law and an MA in French from New York University, in addition to an education from Bowdoin College.
