Aftab Alam

Aftab Alam is a Senior Manager of Transmission and Interconnection Planning at SB Energy, focusing on grid integration and transmission analytics since August 2022. Prior to this role, Aftab held multiple positions at California ISO from February 2011 to August 2022, including Manager of Operations Planning North and Senior Advisor for Operations Engineering. This career also includes experience as an Engineer in Transmission Planning at ISO New England from June 2007 to January 2011 and an internship in the Switch Gear Division at Crompton Greaves in 2000. Aftab holds a PhD and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University, as well as a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
