Neil MacTaggart

Neil Mactaggart is a seasoned mechanical engineering professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as a Mechanical Lead at SBM Offshore, Neil oversees the mechanical operations for the destack, restack, and seal changeout of the Searose FPSO turret. With previous roles as a Mechanical Lead at Bluewater Energy Services and as an OTP Supervisor/Coordinator for Total, Neil has a strong background in reviewing and coordinating operational tasks for major projects. Neil's expertise extends to pre-commissioning and commissioning of rotating and static equipment, and has held various engineering positions across reputable companies including Hoerbiger and Wartsila, focusing on gas compression systems and rotating machinery. Neil holds a degree from Dudley Technical College, completing City & Guilds in Mechanical subjects.
