Alexandre Afonso

Alexandre Afonso is a Mechanical Design Engineer currently employed at Scania Group since March 2024, with prior experience at ALTEN Portugal from May 2023 to February 2024, where involvement included a consulting project at Bosch focusing on Home Comfort and the rollout of an Industry 4.0 platform. Previously, Alexandre served at TFC - Técnico Fuel Cell from September 2019 to December 2022, initially as a member of the Mechanical Department and later as Head of the Mechanical Department and Board Member, coordinating mechanical activities and collaborating on vehicle concept design. Alexandre's earlier experience includes designing components for suspension, traction, and braking systems and competing as an athlete with the Federação Portuguesa de Natação from September 2013 to July 2017. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, as well as a High School Diploma in STEM from Escola Secundária Adolfo Portela.
