Matthew Tossman

Matthew Tossman, Ed.D., currently serves as Assistant Principal at The School District of Philadelphia and holds an instructor position at the University of Pennsylvania. Tossman has previously worked as an instructor at Drexel University and served as Senior Director of Post-Secondary Strategy at Mastery Charter Schools. As Founding Principal of Manhattan Early College School for Advertising, Tossman established the school's leadership framework. Additional experience includes roles within the NYC Department of Education, The New Teacher Project, and New Heights Academy Charter School, where Tossman contributed significantly to academic policy, performance accountability, and athletic programming. Tossman holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and multiple advanced degrees in English and Education.
