Andrea Frenzel

Andrea Frenzel is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the chemical and optics industries. Currently serving as a Member of the Management Board at SCHOTT since April 2023, Andrea represents various business units, including Advanced Optics, Electronic Packaging, and Lighting&Imaging, while focusing on operational excellence and technology in the Chinese market. Prior to that, Andrea held significant positions at BASF, including President of the Intermediates Division and President of the Regional Division for South & East Asia, ASEAN, and Australia & New Zealand, where Andrea emphasized growth opportunities and talent development. Andrea's career at BASF also included roles such as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and leadership positions in business management, strategic planning, and R&D. Andrea holds a Master's and PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Goettingen and completed a PostDoc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
