Emma Roddick

MSP For The Highlands And Islands at The Scottish Parliament

Emma Roddick is a Scottish National Party Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Highlands and Islands, having taken office in May 2021. Roddick served as a member and Depute Convener of the Social Justice and Social Security Committee until March 2023, and subsequently held the role of Minister for Equalities, Migration and Refugees in the Scottish Government. Prior to these positions, Roddick was a Councillor for Highland Council, serving as the Housing & Property Spokesperson, and engaged in various roles including a member pioneer at Co-op and project consultant for the Social Justice & Fairness Commission. Roddick's earlier experience includes roles within the Scottish Ambulance Service and the Scottish Parliament, complemented by a growing educational background in International Relations from The Open University.
