Ian Harley

Ian Harley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in governance, risk management, and auditing. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Climate Action Strathaven and a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Risk Monitoring and Audit Committee at the Scottish Prison Service, Ian has held various significant roles at Bupa as Chief Control & Governance Officer and Head of UK Customer, Risk & Governance, leading a large team in quality assurance and risk management. Previous positions include Head of Regulatory Risk and Head of Risk Assurance at Prudential Assurance, where Ian was instrumental in restructuring teams and establishing risk frameworks. Ian's career also encompasses a strong foundation in audit management, having served as Senior Audit Manager at Audit Scotland. Educational qualifications include a CPFA from the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, an MSc from the University of Sunderland, and a BA (Hons) in Law from Durham University.
