Arturo M. is an experienced professional with a robust background in development studies, citizen security, and violence prevention. Currently serving as the Senior Manager and Collaboration Lead at Search for Common Ground, Arturo oversees the Community Violence Prevention component of the "Somos Ciudad" project in Guatemala. Previous roles include Senior Citizen Security Expert at the United States Institute of Peace and Director of the Masters in Development Studies Program at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala. Arturo has also held various positions, including Project Director for initiatives addressing human trafficking and justice system strengthening in Central America, and served as an analyst for the International Crisis Group, where notable contributions include the widely read "Mafia of the Poor" report.
