Rajesh Uthamanthil

Rajesh Uthamanthil, DVM, PhD, DACLAM, serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Preclinical & Translational at Seattle Children's since March 2020 and holds the position of Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington since May 2017. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Vice President of Shared Resources and Director of Comparative Medicine at Fred Hutch, as well as Associate Professor and Section Chief at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Additionally, Rajesh has worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Rice University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship there. Academic credentials include a PhD in Comparative Biosciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master's Degree in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology. Rajesh has also undertaken specialized training in Clinical Trials, Drug Discovery, and Translational Research at Harvard Medical School.
