April Mardock

April Mardock, CISSP, is an accomplished cybersecurity professional serving as the Chief Information Security Officer for Seattle Public Schools since July 2009. In this role, April oversees a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including risk management, incident response, and security operations, while reporting directly to the CIO. April's extensive experience includes leadership roles like Cybersecurity and IT Operations Manager, Interim Director in the Department of Technology Services, and Technical Manager for network systems and security. April has also contributed to the American Red Cross as a disaster preparedness educator and has held consulting positions with various organizations. April holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Capella University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Seattle Pacific University, along with a K12 Leadership Certificate from City University of Seattle.
