Jean-François Demole

Jean-François Demole has been active in the banking industry for 28 years, of which 18 years as a Managing Partner of the Pictet Group. Jean-François started his career in 1987 in investment banking with Wertheim Schroder in New York where he specialised in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance before joining the Pictet Group in 1991. In 1994, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Pictet Canada and returned to Geneva in 1997. He became a Managing Partner of the Pictet Group in 1998 and retired in 2015. Jean-François Demole founded Demole Capital Partners, a Geneva based private office that specializes in multi-asset investing in both public and private markets.

He is a board member of Pictet Alternative Advisors, the Pictet Group subsidiary responsible for private equity, hedge fund and real estate investments. He was President of the Institut Supérieur de Formation Bancaire, the leading school for banking professionals in Geneva. Jean-François graduated in Economics from the University of Geneva, Switzerland and obtained an MBA in finance from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Jean-François is a passionate race catamaran sailor, loves skiing, hiking and cycling. He is married, has four children and currently lives in London.
