John Spletzer

John Spletzer possesses extensive expertise in robotic perception and software development, currently serving as the Director of Perception at Seegrid since September 2020. Previously, Spletzer was the Co-Founder and CTO of Box Robotics, focusing on mobile robotics software for warehouse operations, and served as CEO of Visionary Robotics, LLC, providing custom 3D perception software solutions. Spletzer has academic experience as an Associate Professor at Lehigh University, where leadership of the Vision, Assistive Devices, and Experimental Robotics (VADER) laboratory was a key role. Additional notable positions include CTO at Love Park Robotics, LLC, and a Test Engineer at the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command. Educational credentials include a PhD and Master's degrees in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
