James Richmond

James Richmond has extensive experience in sport and recreation management, currently serving as the Head of Sport and Recreation and Manager of Active Selwyn at Selwyn District Council since April 2018. Prior to this role, James worked at Horowhenua District Council from May 2016 to May 2018 as the Community Wellbeing Manager, overseeing multiple units with significant direct and indirect reporting responsibilities, and acted as Community Services Manager. James also held the position of Aquatics Manager at Timaru District Council from May 2012 to May 2016 and served in various aquatics roles at Christchurch City Council and Nuffield Health. James Richmond holds a Certificate in Fitness Industry Training from CPIT and graduated from St Andrews College.
