Arunachalam Karuppiah

Arunachalam Karuppiah is currently serving as the Assistant Vice President at Sembcorp Industries Ltd, where responsibilities include leading the Electrical & Controls Engineering Team for Green Hydrogen and Ammonia projects since July 2024. Prior to this role, Arunachalam Karuppiah held several significant positions, including SBU Head for Renewables at Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd, and General Manager at FICHTNER CONSULTING ENGINEERS LTD, where leadership focused on the Renewable Energy Business Unit and electrical power system studies. Early career experience includes roles at GE Energy as Engineering Manager for the Oil & Gas sector, ABB as Manager for Industrial Energy Management Systems, and Tata Power Co Ltd as an Executive in electrical maintenance and commissioning. Academic qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering from NPTI Neyveli, a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharathidasan University and Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy, along with a certification in Electric Vehicles from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
