Joan Kessner

Retired from her work at Hanford as an engineer managing analytical services contracts in 2016. Joan has been a very active participant in community service organizations. She was an active leader of Girl Scouts for 35 years, a board member for Southeast Washington Junior Achievement for 17 years, and in the past 7 years has volunteered with the Mid-Columbia STEM Network. Joan has been a very active volunteer with Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels for many years, with too many accomplishments to list here. In 2021 she, along with her mother Mary Kessner, was awarded the first ever Catalyst Award by the Board of Directors for Senior Life Resources NW. for their incredible support of Meals on Wheels.
