Nilesh Fernando

Nilesh Fernando oversees trading for the Shanda Group in the global public markets, specializing in equities, derivatives and commodities. He also covers global macro markets and company-specific technical analysis for the group.

Prior to joining Shanda Nilesh was Head of Trading for The Harmony Group which specialized in event-driven trading strategies. Before that, he was Head of Trading for LAPP Emerging Markets L.P. and prior to LAPP, he was a regional sales representative for Bloomberg L.P. in Singapore.

Nilesh received a full scholarship to the University of Leicester where he received a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and graduated with 1st Class honors. Prior to Leicester, he graduated from Temasek Polytechnic where he was named to the Director’s List. Nilesh is a CFA charter holder since 2014.
