Craig Saffer has been working in the medical industry for over 20 years. Craig started their career at West Coast Medical Research, where they were responsible for conducting clinical trials for new drugs and treatments. After a few years, they transitioned to West Coast Medical Billing, where they helped manage the finances for a large medical practice. Craig then moved to Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns, where they worked in the Minimally Invasive Surgery Center. In their current role as Director at Sharp, Craig is responsible for overseeing all of the Sharp Community Medical Group's operations.
Craig Saffer attended the University of the Witwatersrand, where they obtained their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Craig then completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at the University of Cape Town. After completing their residency, Craig Saffer pursued a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Craig is certified by the AAGL as a Designated Surgeon in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
