Ken Owens

Ken Owens is the current advisor at Shipa and was the Vice President of Cloud Native Engineering at Mastercard from June 2017 to January 2021. Prior to that, they were the CTO Cloud Platforms & Services Group at Cisco Systems from January 2014 to June 2017. Owens was also the Chief Scientist at Savvis Communications from March 2013 to January 2014.

Owens has accomplished a lot throughout their career. Some of their accomplishments include creating and incorporating a new Service Design Methodology into the product development process, leading the creation and implementation of an Innovation Framework and Research & Development methodologies, and creating an eco-system partner certification methodology. Ken has also been responsible for the overall cloud technology roadmap including key strategic innovations relating to the product development process.

Ken Owens has a MS EE from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
