Mazen al-Hagri

Mazen Al-Hagri is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in the tech industry, currently serving as a Staff Developer at Shopify since March 2021, focused on delivering value to merchants on a leading e-commerce platform. Prior to this role, Mazen held various development and leadership positions at Booking.com, where responsibilities included securing the user base against malicious attacks, and at Bright Computing, developing software for high-performance computing clusters. Mazen also led the establishment of the Scientific and High Performance Computing center at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and contributed to the optimization of the GigaPOWERS simulator at Saudi Aramco. Earlier career highlights include architectural roles at Futures Business Development and co-founding ClickApps, a software development company. Mazen holds a Master’s degree in Information and Computer Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
