Nelson Lee

Nelson Lee is a software engineer currently working at Shopify since May 2024, contributing to the Core - Custom Storefronts Admin (Hydrogen + Oxygen). As the CEO and founder of Haven Safe, established in Toronto, Canada, since April 2021, Nelson has demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership. Previously, Nelson participated as a NEXT 36 Fellow at NEXT Canada from January to August 2023 and worked as a full stack engineer at Hearth from May to August 2022, where Hearth was recognized as a rising fintech startup. Nelson also completed a Full-Stack Engineering Internship as an 8VC Fellow at Hearth during April to August 2022, engaging in a competitive program that connects entrepreneurial students with impactful startups. Nelson's early achievements include being a SHAD Fellow in July 2018, an intensive program fostering leadership and innovation among Canadian youth. Educationally, Nelson pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, graduating in April 2024.
