Sam Kirby-Bray

Sam Kirby-Bray has extensive experience in climate and sustainability roles, currently serving as a Climate and Carbon Support Officer at Shropshire Council since April 2017, focusing on carbon emission reduction and commercial efficiency savings. Previously, as a Sustainability Commissioning Officer, responsibilities included developing carbon management strategies and commissioning energy-saving projects. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant position at Harper Adams University specializing in rural energy systems, and academic studies in Renewable Energy and the Built Environment at the Centre for Alternative Technology. Sam’s background also features diverse roles in IT and electronics, with degrees in Electronics & Communications Engineering and Photonics, complemented by research experience in marine physics and laser characterization.
