Ana Almeida

Ana Almeida is a seasoned professional in nuclear medicine and PET-CT with extensive experience across various prestigious healthcare institutions. Currently serving as the Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT Supervisor at Sidra Medicine since July 2017, Ana has played a key role in establishing these services in a newly built hospital, including contributions to the setup of the Radiopharmacy. Prior experience includes supervisory roles at Canadian Veterinary Hospital and leadership positions at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where responsibilities encompassed PET-CT quality management, staff training, and service management. Ana's foundational experience in nuclear medicine began at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and IPO Coimbra. Ana holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Neuroimaging for Research from The University of Edinburgh and a BSc(Hons) in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technology, specializing in Nuclear Medicine, from ESTSL Lisbon.
