Marios Kambouris PhD FACMGG is a highly experienced clinical geneticist currently serving as Senior Clinical Geneticist and Acting Chief of Pathology-Genetics at Sidra Medical and Research Center since June 2015. Previous roles include Director of the Department of Molecular Genetics & DNA Diagnostics at Shafallah Medical Genetics Center in Doha, Qatar, and Chief Scientific Officer at Synergene Biotechnology in Malta. Marios Kambouris has an extensive background in molecular genetics, having directed the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics & DNA Diagnostics at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical & Molecular Genetics from Indiana University School of Medicine, alongside fellowships in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Henry Ford Hospital and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.
