Xabat Otegui Gabilondo

Xabat Otegui Gabilondo is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in embedded firmware and FPGA development. Currently serving as a Technical Coordinator for Embedded Firmware at Siemens Energy since November 2024, Xabat previously held the position of FPGA/SoC Project Manager & System Design Engineer at Enclustra GmbH from January 2023 to November 2024. Prior to this role, Xabat worked at Siemens Energy in various capacities, including Project Manager & Senior FPGA Engineer and Senior FPGA Development Engineer from January 2020 to January 2023, and FPGA Development Engineer from July 2014 to January 2020, focusing on R&D project management and high-speed FPGA designs using VHDL and Embedded C. Xabat gained initial experience as a Graduate Research Engineer at Fraunhofer IIS, contributing to the design and validation of a network interface adapter module for 10Gbit Ethernet. Xabat holds two Master of Engineering degrees in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Navarra and the Technical University of Denmark.
