Josep Pon Farreny

Josep Pon Farreny is a Machine Learning Engineer at Siemens since November 2021, with extensive experience in academia and software development. Josep has served as an Associate Lecturer at Universitat de Lleida from October 2021 to February 2024, teaching courses in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems. Prior roles include Data Scientist at GFT Group, where Josep worked on NLP solutions and Reinforcement Learning, and Software Analyst & Developer at Ilerfred, contributing to a research project supported by the Center for the Development of Industrial Technology. Josep also has a background as a Predoctoral Fellow at the University of Lleida, a Research Intern at IBM focusing on automatic algorithm configuration, and previous lecturing experience at Universitat de Lleida. Josep holds a PhD in Computer Science from Universitat de Lleida, as well as a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same institution.
