Yiyi Yao

Yiyi Yao is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in research and laboratory analysis. Currently serving as an Associate Chemist at Sienza Energy since May 2023, Yiyi previously worked as a Research Scientist at StoreDot and as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA, where significant contributions included the investigation of phase transitions in MoS2 for energy storage and the characterization of various materials using advanced techniques. Yiyi has also held roles as a Lab Analyst at Pace Analytical and Upsher-Smith Laboratories, focusing on analytical chemistry and drug formulation development. With a strong educational background, including a PhD in Chemistry from UCLA and a Master's from the University of Minnesota, Yiyi has demonstrated expertise in various analytical methods and material synthesis, along with a commitment to mentoring and teaching undergraduate students.
