Robert Toomey

Robert Toomey is a senior attorney and advisor with extensive experience in the financial services industry, currently serving as the Head of Capital Markets and Managing Director at SIFMA since September 2004. Toomey leads SIFMA's capital markets group, addressing areas such as rates, prime brokerage, securitization, and derivatives by leveraging diverse experience from both the official sector, including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where Toomey worked as Counsel, and the private sector, including roles at the US Securities and Exchange Commission as Special Counsel and Reid & Priest as an Associate. Toomey holds a BA in English from Haverford College and a JD from Fordham University School of Law.
