Carlos Smith

Carlos Smith is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations and investment management. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Silmar Electronics, Inc. since July 2013, Carlos has previously held the position of Second Vice President - Portfolio Manager at Northern Trust Bank from September 2007 to July 2013, focusing on investment portfolio management for private clients. Earlier experience includes a role as an Investment Associate at UCF Venture Lab, where Carlos provided mentorship to entrepreneurs and contributed to business development for clients. Carlos began a career as a Business Analyst at Pan-American Life Insurance Company. Academically, Carlos holds a Master of Business Administration from UCF College of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Spring Hill College.
